The idea of having gingerbread molds manufactured by a Finnish craft entrepreneur appealed to him. Pentti Tuominen, who lives in Vähäkyrö, learned the craft of metalworking as a child. In his company, which he founded in 1981, he has been working with traditional handicraft methods, using century-old hand-cranked machines.
The idea for the gingerbread molds came from a desire to honor the animals with which we have traditionally interacted for a long time. These animals have been both loyal servants and beloved family members to us.
