We were tipped off that The National Museum's images could also be used in our own products. We found plenty of charming snapshots of Finnish horses and life's highlights from years ago. A real find was also a picture of Billnäs ruukki where horses pull a cart in front of workers' dwellings. Our shop and warehouse are located in Billnäs and we were able to make one of the so-called "village products".
We developed a coaster where the black and white image could be easily erased. Under the picture we put a sheet of cork to make the product stay in place on different table surfaces.
The coaster, or even a set of coasters, has also proved to be a good gift idea for a horseman or woman. We use them ourselves every day for our morning coffee at the office. The coasters are made in Finland.
